What We Do

EASE International ApS started to offer its services in 2001. The work undertaken includes:

Review of applications to special fund for NGO HIV programmes in developing countries: General advice to Danida on HIV; follow-up with NGO communities via yearly workshops; four-year review of the special fund (2009) (Danida 2004-2010)

Assessment of AfDBs support to HIV and AIDS programmes 1997-2006 including four country studies. The analysis held an assessment of effectiveness of Bank’s operations for the support to the prevention and control of HIV and AIDS and identification of lessons from experience over the past ten years in order to strengthen future Bank strategies and operations (AfDB, 2008)

Technical support to development of the first HIV and AIDS strategy in Libya. Work included identification of key issues to be addressed, facilitation of EU TOR for further assistance on HIV issues, and an outline of the process of the strategy. (Danida, EU, 2008)

Analyses of costs and cost-effectiveness of high-risk groups interventions to prevent HIV in Asia Region. The work included background papers for “Redefining AIDS in Asia” published in 2008 and contributions and presentations for ICAAP 2007 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. (AsDB, 2007)

Review and Appraisal of Health Sector Support Programmes (Phases III and IV) in Mozambique covering national and provincial level (Danida 2005 and 2007)

Technical support to GFATM HIV and TB applications in a range of Central Asia/Eastern Europe countries, and Tanzania, Africa (UNAIDS, WHO, GTZ 2002-2007)

Review of Joint donor HIV programme in Uganda. Appraisal of “Strengthening Uganda’s Response to HIV and AIDS 2007-10” including QA of the preparation process (Danida 2007)

Review of Danish NGO HIV programmes in Zambia and Zimbabwe. The review included Danish Red Cross activities in Zimbabwe and Dan Church Aid’s support to CHAZ in Zambia (Danida 2006)

Public Expenditure Review 2001-05, Zimbabwe – including review of investments into interventions to reach health-related MDGs (The World Bank 2006)

Development of IAVI Policy Discussion Paper on impact of HIV and AIDS on reaching the MDGs. The paper was disseminated at UNGASS meeting in New York, September 2005 (IAVI 2005)

Review of youth programme on Sexual and Reproductive Health in Mozambique. The review included future directions for the scaling up of the programme to national level (UNFPA 2004)
